Those who did not purchase the live webinar will not be able to see the video page. If you purchased the original webinar but were unable to attend, you can download an NCCAOM Worksheet, watch the video recording and fill out the worksheet, then upload the worksheet, take a final Quiz, and we will issue you an NCCAOM Continuing Education PDA certificate for 14 PDA.

About The Class:
This two-day class provides skills to treat and identify underlying patterns and conditions which may contribute to various diseases and disorders which affect the proper functioning of facial muscles and nerves. These include Bells Palsy, Ptosis, MS, TMJ, Stroke, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Shingles, and others. Protocols and methods, for intramuscular and sub-muscular, basic scalp acupuncture, facial motor points, facial cupping, and micro-needling will be taught.

About NCCAOM PDA: 14 NCCAOM PDA are available for this class. Due to changes in NCCAOM policy, partial PDA CANNOT be given; in other words, you must attend all hours on both days to receive any PDA.
Students Will:
- Learn theory behind and protocols for intramuscular needling of face points
- Learn theory behind and protocols for scalp acupuncture needed for treatment of facial conditions
- Learn theory behind and protocols for motor points on scalp and face needed for treatment of facial conditions
- Be able to identify which modality is best suited to treat different conditions affecting the face, including screening for contraindications
- Be able to effectively plan a treatment for various conditions affecting the face
About Michelle Gellis
Michelle Gellis (L.Ac, M.Ac) holds the distinction of being one of the very few acupuncturists in the country certified to teach acupuncture facial rejuvenation certification classes on a national level to other acupuncturists. In addition to acupuncture facial rejuvenation, Michelle teaches classes on facial cupping, gua sha and treating neuromuscular facial conditions such as Stroke, Multiple Sclerosis, Trigeminal Neuralgia, TMJ and Bells Palsy with acupuncture. She has been published in The Journal of Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture Today, the Maryland Acupuncture Society Newsletter, The Acupuncture Desk Reference as well as featured in Her Mind Magazine, Howard County Business News and Be Well World Magazine.
Michelle has been a Faculty Member and Clinic Supervisor at the Maryland University of Integrative Health (formally the Tai Sophia Institute) since 2004. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Seton Hall University School of Business in Computer Science, and a Master’s Degree in Acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute.

Recording:
All registrants of a live webinar are eligible to view the recording of that live webinar at no additional cost when it is available. Recordings are usually available within 1-2 weeks after a live webinar.
NCCAOM PDA:
If you attend the live webinar for the duration of the webinar, you will automatically receive your PDA certificate via email usually within 1-2 weeks of the live webinar event.
If you registered for the live event, but did not attend the live event, or only attended a portion of the entire live webinar event, you will NOT be eligible to receive live webinar PDA. However, you will be eligible to receive Distance Learning PDA if you view the webinar recording, take the Distance Learning exam, and complete the worksheet. There is no additional cost to take the Distance Learning exam if you registered for the live webinar but are ineligible for the Live PDA (either because you missed the entire life webinar or you missed portions of the live webinar).
